What If?

IMG_4989[1]

What if

tomorrow I fall in love?

What if

in 16 hours you get healed?

What if next Tuesday Jesus came back?

What if

in a week you get free pizza?

What if

in 72 days you find that necklace you lost?

What if

it’s all supposed to be a surprise?

And you keep trying to ruin it because you hate suspense but Jesus is sitting on the edge of his seat whispering:

“Hold on”

“You’re almost there”

“It’s so close”

“Believe me”

“It’s almost ready”

“It’ll be beyond perfect”

“You don’t even know”?

What if

tomorrow I fall in love

and the night before it’s supposed to happen

I’m just sitting here

lonely

at my pity party for one

moping and crying

while upstairs Jesus is preparing a surprise party

because

tomorrow

I fall in love

and in 16 hours you get healed

What if

we don’t know everything?

What if

that’s okay?

What if

you knew that your miracle was coming soon?

What if

we lived in expectation and anticipation

instead of

slowly dying in fear and desperation?
